Sounds good to me. Oh btw...We ran into the purple shorts guy (Pete) last Sat at a bar in Edison Park. He said that he was kicked out of the championship game last year for protesting a bad call. Funny story. But he said he'd play with us if we needed a guy. I asked him to play this week but he had to coach water polo till 7 pm. How funny would it be to have purple shorts sub?

Forget a sponsor bar... Just pay Eve.
We can go where ever we want... If we don't want to go out, we don't have to... Done and Done! |

The Windsor Tavern, just north of Hops & Barley did not want to pay our entire league fees. The owner, Nancy, was shocked when I told her it was $775. She must not have had any Chi Sport and Social Teams in her area. Anyway, I called her again and left a message. I'm going to try to see if I can get her to pay for at least half of the league fees.
It looks like they're trying to stiffen the substitution rules. So, how does it work if we have 6 guys and rotate them in and out but keep the same batting order? Are they saying that when a different guy subs for another in the field they take their spot in the lineup and the other guy becomes the extra hitter? Or is the extra hitter never supposed to play the field? |

the schedule has been released. it's attached at the bottom of this post.
our first game is next Wednesday, May 5th @ 6:30 @ Devonshire Park. John is having a practice for his 12" team this Saturday (5/1) @ 11:00. Location will be either Mather HS or Amundsen HS. I'll be in attendance so maybe we can squeeze in a 14" practice afterward... say 12:30 or 1:00? oh yah, and i guess there are some new rules about batting order and substitutions. i missed the managers meeting and have yet to read the new rulebook but it's also attached if you're interested. |

Hi gang. Sorry for the lack of info. I was hoping to reach out once I had news to share, but unfortuntely I don't have much to report. Here's what I know...
- Our team name is Daddy Green's Pizza. - League play is supposed to start next Wednesday, May 5th. But in typical fashion, Bobby D has yet to release the schedule. - I've got a few leads on sponsors but haven't finalized anything yet. - A pre-season practice would be ideal but we're running out of time. I am free this Saturday if people are interested and the weather cooperates. |

You're gonna have to ask Mr Zimmer about that. My assumption is that it would show the other teams our sensitive side and thus they would go easy on us, allowing us to take advantage and win.
